The internet is chock full of hucksters that are quick to sell you some secret or magic course that will allow you to quit your job a week from Monday, own a Ferrari, spend your days on the beach and of course live in a mansion. Unfortunately because of all this clutter, some of which actually will allow you to make a living on line, many would be entrepreneurs are turned off and decide there is no real way to earn money with their computers. This is a terrible waste because if you invest your time wisely and make sure not to get caught up in the "get rich" frenzy you can earn extra income or if you are really devoted actually earn a full time income.
For the person who is not looking for a full time living but would like to earn some extra cash the internet could be the easiest way. Many who have started out with this goal in mind have discovered that they enjoy selling on the internet so much and have gained sufficient knowledge of selling their product that they find themselves in a full time business. This path to success is easiest for those who have not only an extensive knowledge of a particular product but more importantly have a deep love of the product and enjoy the search necessary to find
enough of it to maintain a business. One such field of buying and selling is what is commonly referred to at the "Old Comic Book" business.
As with most other products there are some old issues that would bring hundreds or thousands from collectors. However the chance of finding some of those would be as likely for the average collector as winning the lottery. However if you are fond of comics and enjoy spending your spare time rummaging through basements, thrift stores, pawn shops and other potential sources of rare issues than the mere thought that you could stumble upon one of these treasures is enough to keep you going. Searching for product is the major part of this type of business. And while searching even if you don't find that rare issue you will find other not so rare issues that collectors will pay for. However if your financial condition is such that you need to find a real gem to be able to pay the rent there is not much joy in this exercise.
The most important point here is that buying and selling old comics is a specialty type of business where research, knowledge and most important of all a real love of the product are what can propel you to success. However if you have no fondness for the product and are only hoping to one day find that pot of gold without really knowing what you are looking for then you will most likely fail. Customers in this niche are usually very knowledgeable and they will quickly determine whether you have a true appreciation for the field or if you are just out to make a quick buck.
